Abstract: In every language the beginning of the word begins with subject-predicative structure, and this is a big issue at the global level, which is the focus of many grammar scholars. The narrow-minded comparison of the difference between the Chinese-Kazakh word order, subject-predicative sentence structure in two languages makes students more advantageous. In Chinese-Kazakh languages word order of the subject and object are different, however, approaches of mastering skills are similar. This article deals systematically with the specific features and classification of the Chinese-Kazakh subject-predicative sentence. The Chinese language refers to SVO form, the predicate is compiled according to the features of sentence, which has no morphological changes. In any case “specifics are saved + predicate is stem + the conclusion is saved”. And the Kazakh language refers to the SOV form. The subject, object, adverbial modifier comes before the predicate. Word phrases and word process are formed in the same order. Because auxiliary words and suffixes together form the members of the sentence. Thus, words can change their order, members of the sentence are very flexible. However, the subject and the predicate in two languages do not change. This focused on differences and similarities of the subject-predicative sentence in two languages.

Abstract: Rice bran oil was extracted by using ultrasonic-assisted extraction with ethanol and hexane solvents. The experiments were carried out at variation of solvent to rice bran ratio =3:1;4:1; 5:1; 6:1 (w/w) and at a fixed extraction time of 60 min. The oil components were separated by rotary vacuum evaporator and the radical scavenging capability of the oil was tested by using DPPH method. The phenolic compound was analyzed using UV/VIS spectrophotometer and expressed as total gallic acid. The results showed that increasing amount of solvent would increase the yield of oil and the highest yield (23%) was obtained at the solvent: rice bran ratio of 6:1. The increase of solvent:oil ratio also lead the increase of total phenolic compound. The ultrasound irradiation could improve the obtained yield from 23% to 26% at the ultrasound frequency of 40 kHz.

Abstract: The article deals with issues related to the situation of the Russian Orthodox Church in Russia in the XIX - early XX centuries. It is shown that in Russia there has been a certain transformation of traditional values. These processes were under the direct influence of the Church on society and the state. The scientific problem solved in the article reveals many common factors with the current circumstances of the development of church-state relations in Russia, where the questions about the place of the state and the Church in the modified social and economic conditions come to the fore. The article defines the maneuverability of the spiritual hierarchy, both in the horizontal plane and in the vertical one, and the schemes for transferring the clergy to the church staircase are analyzed. Important social and demographic aspects of the activities of the Russian Church were reconstructed, which made it possible to establish the level of heterogeneity in the development of the clergy and its immediate prospects. Theoretical and scientific novelty is that the conclusions contained in the article can be applied to correct and improve functioning legislation in the sphere of interrelations between secular power and the Orthodox Church.

Abstract: Although the Ministry of Education in the country understudy has devolved power and authority to schools, the extent of teacher participation in decision making is not properly known as some of them seem to have mixed/different views on their involvement in the process. The problem of non-participation of teachers in decision making seems to be of great concern to them, because they feel that it discourages initiative and genuine commitment to their work. They also feel that their useful ideas are likely to be stifled or ignored if they are not fully involved in decision making. The above views coupled with some of the teachers complaints and concerns have prompted this desk review study which sought to establish the reasons behind devolution of power to school principals.

Abstract: African countries like all other developing ones have placed priority on the enhancement of education by making it a right and ensuring its implementation among others through universal primary education. Moreover, there has been a move to improve the management of education by devolving certain powers to the school level. Noticeable in this trend is a shift from autocratic models of decision making by few people to collective decision making and team work. Different members of school communities became involved in decision making regarding teaching and learning and other school activities. Teachers are also involved in decision making at higher levels, that is, in districts and provinces through their professional associations. Examples of decisions on policies and other issues that teachers are involved include classroom discipline policies; selecting learning materials and structuring learning activities, decisions on course offerings; school discipline and promotion policies; how student time is scheduled; class size and selection and recruitment of teachers. This desktop study therefore sought to review literature that talk to the significance of participatory decision-making to justify the adoption of such a model by the country under study.

ERGONYM AS A TEXT-PRIMITIVE: COMMUNICATIVE AND PRAGMATIC POTENTIAL

Volume 73, Sep 2017
doi: 10.21506/j.ponte.2017.9.2

View Abstract   Hide Abstract   |   PDF Version
Abstract: Providing effective intersubject interaction as an urgent task of a modern multicultural and multi-communicative society is connected with the formation of communicative competence. Communicative competence includes not only knowledge of language units, their system-related links and functioning in speech, but also knowledge about ways of formulating thoughts and ways of understanding, as well as national and cultural features of native speakers and the specifics of different types of discourse. The authors argue that the priority attention to the content aspect of the text makes it possible to use texts that lack fine syntax or text-primitives text structures of small sizes with a complete (or almost complete) absence of the usual special means of connectivity in the process of forming the communicative competence. The special significance of primitive texts is explained by their inartificial nature. In the communicative situation you I here now the statement needs only some simple syntax, the proof of which is the fact that primitive texts appear first in the period of holophrases in ontogeny, in addition, they are a frequency element in speech in aphasia. As a sample of the text-primitive creating the basis for the formation of communicative competence, the authors consider the ergonym as a fragment of the modern Russian-language advertising discourse. The multidimensional linguistic analysis of ergonyms as authentic texts allowed the authors to reveal their rather high potential in case of using them as a tool to form communicative competence. Advantage of text-ergonym is determined by a number of its specific properties: structural simplicity combined with semantic completeness, communicative fullness and polyfunctionality. Particular importance of these properties of the poorly syntactized text is revealed at the initial stage of the process of mastering the language, but these qualities do not lose this significance at subsequent stages as well.

Abstract: This study intends to reveal the details of the humanistic concept by V. Astafyev who was an acclaimed word artist, a classical author of the Russian literature working between the second half of the 20th and the turn of the 21st centuries. The interpreters of the authors war prose unreasonably rank him among the writers playing up the atrocities of the war, instilling in the consciousness of presently living people the military spirit that reinforces the militaristic consciousness with its characteristic attributes, such as the simplistic approach to the modern society and the dominating confrontations of us vs. them, friends vs. foes. The modern Russian society is suffering from the syndrome of militaristic consciousness just as much as the Western European ones do. The described problem was researched mainly through the study of the history of literature combined with comparative historical analysis and the study of culture, which involve analyzing both synchronic and diachronic aspects of the studied materials. The study has proved the efficacy and validity of the authors approach to the comprehension of the concept of humanism by V. Astafyev, the author of anti-war pieces of literature. The material of this article can be used to teach the history of Russian literature of the 20th century, as well as to teach various culture disciplines.

Abstract: The purpose of the study is to identify the peculiarities of interpreting the concept of God in the publications of modern Russian newspapers and their comparison with the interpretation of this construct by the modern youth audience. In the course of the study, it was found that a theme of religion, attitude towards God is very popular among modern journalists in the genres of interviews and journalistic analytics. There is ambiguity in the treatment of this concept, more freedom in its interpretation, the appearance of such a phenomenon as political Orthodoxy. The frequency of the use of various colloquial constructs with the kernel word God is seen in the newspaper headings of materials far from religious themes, and is of an everyday nature. The conducted focus group study of the youth audience showed that majority of respondents do not rely on God in their lives, but believe that one should rely more on ones own.\\r\\nMales adhere to this position in a greater extent than females. It is established that understanding about God among young people is undergoing changes, and faith in God is understood by the audience as one of the universal values. There are various approaches to the study of certain concepts in modern philological science. However, in our opinion, an approach can be considered the most productive that uses the data of related sciences and involves not only an appeal to the mass media texts, but also data from focus group studies of the youth audience. This is connected, first of all, with the powerful impact that the mass media have on the formation of the worldview of young people.

Abstract: This paper presents an analysis from the perspectives of ancient Hindu scriptures on the three states of consciousness namely, the waking state, dreaming state and the deep sleep state, commonly accepted in contemporary neuroscience and psychology. In doing so, the authors have taken verses from two ancient Hindu scriptures, the Mandukya Upanishad (4th-5th century BCE), a Sanskrit Vedic scripture and the Tirumandiram (5th century CE) a Tamil scripture to elucidate the remarkable correlation between the verses in these scriptures and the contemporary thinking in this field. The paper goes on to cite the scriptural references that go beyond the three states of consciousness into the fourth and then to an array of multiple states of consciousness. The authors hope with sincerity that this paper serves not only to shed light on the advanced findings of the ancient Hindu scriptures, but also provides a basis for future research in this fertile field of study.

Abstract: This study estimates the interdependence between South Africas monetary policy and stock market performance, utilising structural vector autoregression (SVAR) methodology. The study finds that a stock price shock which decrease stock prices by 100 basis points leads to 5 basis points decrease in interbank rate. A monetary policy shock that increases the interbank rate by 1 percent leads to decrease in real stock prices by 1 percent. This result for South Africa is similar to the result of other earlier studies which concluded that there was a high interdependence between interest rate setting and stock prices. However the magnitude of the relationship is relatively lower for South Africa compared to that of countries such as United States of America (USA). Nevertheless the SARB may have to consider watching movements in stock prices so that booms in stock markets do not defeat central bank monetary policy thrusts. The study concludes that stock price market is an essential source of information for monetary policy in South Africa

Abstract: Wheat is a staple food for most of the world. With the growing population there is a tremendous pressure to increase the productivity of food crops. Wheat being most used food crop must be investigated thoroughly. Leaf senescence is the final stage of growth and development. Delaying the leaf senescence by few days has shown an increase in productivity. To understand the structure and function of histidine-containing phosphor-transfer protein 2 (HCP) of wheat, molecular modeling of HCP protein is performed. Sequence-structure analysis of HCP protein of wheat is performed, which is one of the two components - HCP and response regulator (RR) protein, of wheat. \\r\\nThis study is an attempt to understand the mechanism of cytokine-mediated senescence in wheat plant. A highly conserved histidine (H) at 80th position amongst all the sequences across the taxa confirms the role of H at this position in cytokinin signaling during senescence.

Abstract: This study explores the unyielding desire for artistic expression from the very first cave paintings to contemporary art works, from the very first human to modern society and aims to provide a fresh perspective in the way the works of art are approached. In this respect, it aims to study the process of artistic expression between the artist and the work of art. The continuous evolution of human history from the cave to settled life followed by the technological age created as a result of the industrial revolution has created new means and conditions which have been the major shifts in the history of humanity. Although these shifts have created new materials, topics and methods in the creation and distribution of art, it did not alter the unyielding desire for artistic expression which is the primary topic of interest of this paper. In this respect, the consideration of the link between the artist and the work in the process of creation is categorized under a two stepped process. The first step of this analysis concentrates on the synthesis of all experience of the individual with respect to the belonging and attachment of the individual to the society, the geography and the artistic content produced in ones perspective. This is followed by the second step in which this innate process gets materialized and a work gets produced. The inevitable dialectic relationship that occurs during the process of artistic expression where the work of art gets produced and while the artist becomes its producer is analyzed with regard to these processes. The meaning that finds form through this materialization is questioned in relation to what it means for both the work and the artist. Centuries long transformation has not altered the basic impulse that create the unyielding desire of artistic production which are termed to be the consciousness of mortality in any environmental condition of existence and getting to know ones self, materialization of the astonishment towards the incomprehensibility of existence through art and making sense of self are the defined impulses which give rise to the processes of production. This paper aims to bring a comprehensive fresh perspective to the notion of unaltered artistic production of synthesized works of art and the continuity of artistic expression and the process of creation. Keywords: Modern Art, Artistic Expression, Artistic Process

Abstract: One of the most complicated issues in history of Iran is the succession crisis and the selection of official crown prince. In history of Iran, there were no rule and tradition for selection of successors and crown princes. Therefore, this issue caused serous crises and multiple civil wars. In the era of Fath-Ali Shah Qajar (1797- 1834) the issue of succession and his childrens oppositions against the selection of Abbas Mirza as the crown prince resulted in a lot of problems. This issue intensified with Russian and Britain interferences, Abbas Mirzas death, and the selection of Mohammad Mirza as the crown princes. The present study is to investigate the succession crisis in Fath-Ali Shahs period and its continuation to Mohammad Shah Qajars period. Findings indicate that frequent efforts of Fath-Ali Shah Qajar for solving the problem as peacefully as possible failed and after his death, his successors started fighting to seize the power. But consequently, European powers interferences determined the results of those fights.

Abstract: Trading & Exporting Organizations (TEO) influence whether or not those organizations engage in Competition Trading & Exporting Acting (CTEA). The focus is primarily on the environmental characteristics of Inter marketing Managers (IM) such as education and prior experience rather than those characteristics derived from personality traits. Data are drawn from a survey of the TEO in trading and industrial zones of North West of Iran that around one-sixth the samples of IM engage in CTEA. The IM characteristics showing a significant association with a commitment to CTEA include an above average level of education, experience and running organization in sectors outside their previous experience. CTEA showed a positive association with those IM with a growth orientation. It is concluded that IM characteristics can be important in explaining the CTEA within the TEO.
