Abstract: The purpose of this study was to compare the characteristics of temporomandibular disorder (TMD) and non-temporomandibular disorder (NTMD) groups and identify psychological and oral dysfunction factors influencing the symptoms of TMD. This study is a secondary analysis of data from a national survey. A total of 5,666 participants aged 20 and above were recruited to obtain the data in 2012, based on the Fifth Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (KNHANES V-3, 2012). Data were analyzed using frequencies, χ2 tests, and logistic regression with SPSS 18.0. In this study, individuals who had experienced TMD symptoms accounted for 22.3% of the total number of participants. Factors influencing TMD symptoms were age, depressive symptoms, mastication difficulty, and speech difficulty caused by oral problems. Participants in their 20s were 5.94 times more likely to be included in the TMD symptom group than those in their 60s. Those who had depressive symptoms were 1.54 times more likely to be included in the TMD symptom group than those who did not experience depressive symptoms. Participants who had difficulty while speaking and chewing caused by oral problems were 2.13 times and 1.42 more likely to be included in the TMD symptom group, respectively. To prevent and manage TMD symptoms, age, depressive symptoms, and mastication and speech difficulties caused by oral problems should be considered. There is a need to develop a TMD prevention program for early-stage adults who experience depressive symptoms and oral problems

Abstract: Data mining and knowledge discovery is the process of discovering knowledge from the real world datasets. One of the limitations of the real world datasets is the existence of contamination in the dataset. The existing algorithms performance will degrade due to the contamination in the real world datasets in the form of noisy, missing values and imbalance nature. In this paper, we propose a novel algorithm dubbed as Confiscate and Substitute Imbalance Data Learning (CSIDL) for better knowledge discovery from real world datasets. The process of confiscate is implemented in the majority subset for the removal of noisy, border line and missing instances and substitute of missing instances is done in the minority subset for improving the strength of the dataset. Experimental comparisons are done on six real world dataset with bench mark traditional algorithms. The experimental validation is also done using the 8 evaluation metrics as case study on imbalance twitter dataset with the benchmark C4.5 algorithm. The results suggest that the proposed CSIDL algorithm performed better than the compared algorithms in terms of Accuracy, AUC, Precision and F-measure. The experimental results also clearly indicate the effectiveness of the proposed approach in the scenario of skewed twitter corpus.

Abstract: We consider the engineering-psychological aspects of formation at the training complex dynamic management style ergatic system operator. We give a formal description of the skills and control style. It is shown that the parameters of the simulation model must be selected taking into account the specific problems to be solved at the training complex. Simulation characteristics are determined by comparing the functional values for ergatic systems: operator-object, operator-object simulator. The methods of structural and parametric identification of the object are proposed. Is given an example of assessing the quality of the simulation control objects described by a system of ordinary differential equations in normal form of Cauchy.

Abstract: The purpose of this study is to investigate the factors affecting internet banking usage in Northern Cyprus. From a survey involving 503 respondents, we found that customer perceived risk was the most important factor affecting the adoption of internet banking. Perceived usefulness was the second most important factor, which was followed, to a lesser degree of importance, by trust in a bank and information on internet banking. Specifically, our results revealed that users of internet banking perceived internet banking as less risky, trusted their bank more, found internet banking more useful, and had more information on internet banking compared to those who had not adopted internet banking. Lastly, the adopters were more comfortable using the internet compared to those not using internet banking.

Abstract: The purpose of the research was to analyse the influence of the operational mode of the borehole thermal energy storage (BTES), used for balancing heat generation in gas-fuelled cogeneration unit, on its efficiency. The pioneering project took place in the premises of Green Gas DPB, a.s., Paskov, the Czech Republic, during the 2012 2014 period. During these years, 11 operational cycles were conducted and thoroughly analysed in order to identify the correlations between the BTES operational parameters and the its energetic balance. Operational cycles varied in: the overall duration (long-, medium-, short-term); the character (continual, alternating); the operational mode (charging, discharging, resting); the borehole heat exchangers thermal output; and the length of sub-cycles (charging/discharging) in the alternating cycles (8h/16h, 16h/8h, 24h/24h). The results revealed that the BTES efficiency is not constant and should be optimized by adequate operational parameters adjustment. To properly evaluate given cycle, the natural heat dispersion rate must be considered. During the unique cycle II, with a half-year undisturbed resting mode, the rate of natural heat dispersion of the BTES Paskov was evaluated. The obtained results are crucial for the maximization of BTES efficiency. The collected data base is worth further scientific exploitation and analysis.

Abstract: One of the challenges the Mexican education system faces is the building of capacities to foster civic and political participation in young people, a fundamental task in citizen formation. In such a way that political education promotes the transformation of individuals to develop comprehensive thinking skills, which generates the exercise of a full and active society. Sotirovic and McLeod (2004) approach the perspective of political socialization as a process of community learning, through which citizens acquire beliefs, feelings and information for the purpose of achieving maturity and political identity. This system addresses exposure to the media and its effects on the individual, that is, cognitive ones such as consciousness, knowledge and the image of politicians; the affective ones like interests, attitudes towards leaders, subjects and attachment to the political system; and, finally, those of behavior as interpersonal discussion and political participation. In that sense, a comparative analysis of the six areas of knowledge established by the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI, 2014) is established, with the objective of evaluating the political learning of young people, which is strengthened through media consumption and its link with democratic participation, because it is considered a relevant context of vulnerability in civic and political life.

Abstract: Given the worldwide importance of the of Deglet Nour variety, our study was set up to assess the impact of the bagging dates bunches and the cleaning of date palms against Ectomyelois ceratoniae Zeller, in this variety. Two phoenicicoles regions and three phonologic stages of the dates were considered during two crop campaigns 2013/2014 and 2014/2015. The infestation rates were estimated on: the dates of palm trees which underwent the cleaning and / or the bagging bunch by the polyethylen at once compared to a witness. A progressive temporary evolution of the infestation rates of dates was noted, from the stage Routab (early stage of maturation) up to the stage Tmar (stage of maturity of dates). In the region of Biskra, a low average rates of infestation were recorded to dates bagged of the cleaned palm trees, for both campaigns; with respectively 6.66 and 1.67 %. While fruits of witness trees showed average rates of infestation raised with 12, 5 and 10 %. At Ouargla region , for both campaigns, strong rates of infestation were estimated at the dates of palm trees cleaned to bagged bunches; with 16 and 12.5 %. The low rates are noticed at the palm trees which received the maintenance only. In the arid regions which are characterized by a low humidity of the air, case of the region of Ouargla, the absence of favorable conditions for the development of the date moth after the cleaning of the host which is offset by a favorable microclimate to the butterflies in the polyethylene bag.

Abstract: Radars have taken the guided weapon systems to new heights in detection, guidance and speed measurements. Expertise in the field of electromagnetism, radar signal processing and coding techniques have improved the target detection probability and resolution uniqueness of the contemporary radar systems both in terms of range and Doppler. However, effect of side lobes still exists which hampers the probability of detection of target as the weak echoes from the small targets may be masked by the side lobes of big slow moving targets. The key role of this paper is an exertion to present an extensive approach of detecting multiple moving targets at various ranges in presence of Doppler. High-resolution radar signal waveforms are presented using Hex Quadratic residue, EX-OR Coded Matrix Technique (HQECMT), which improves detection of moving target probability in multi target environments. The technique uses windowing approach, in which at certain ranges of Doppler frequencies the range side lobes are drastically low and the detection of moving targets becomes very easy at these Doppler frequencies for entire radar range. The targets can be viewed on Doppler Vs delay plot from the ambiguity function, choosing the Doppler frequency under consideration. We also validate our approach using MATLAB. The side lobes are clear for a major range of Doppler given by real time slow and fast moving targets like Tanks, APCs, helicopters, aircrafts, fighter aircrafts, missiles and ICBM

Abstract: ABSTRACT Physical performance and anthropometry may serve to control athletes competitive readiness. However, is relatively unknown how these variables might be related depending on sex. Therefore, our aim was to establish the relationship and differences between anthropometry and physical performance of male and female college athletes. Participants (112 male and 77 female) from several sports were assessed for height, body mass, and field physical performance test of lower body power, upper body power, agility, and endurance. Male athletes were heavier (i.e., 17 kg) and taller (i.e., 17 cm) than females. Also, male athletes had greater lower body and upper body power, endurance, and agility performance. In males, upper body power was correlated with body mass (0.35; p = 0.016) and height (0.57; p = 0.000), while endurance was negatively correlated with body mass (-0.34; p = 0.009), and agility was negatively correlated with height (-0.27; p = 0.038). In females, upper body power was positively correlated with body mass (0.40; p = 0.000) and height (0.27; p = 0.016). Also, performance in the agility test was negatively correlated with body mass (-0.29; p = 0.026). Therefore, anthropometry and physical performance are related in male and female athletes, although with significant differences according to sex. These differences should be taken into account by anthropometrists and practitioners. Also, independent from a comparative or correlation analysis, a systematic assessment follow up in athletes, with variables such as height and body mass, may help to identify, with low cost, the competitive readiness of athletes.

Abstract: South Africa was the first country in the world to initiate regulations for the training and issuing of Remote Pilot Licenses (RPL) that are accredited by the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) on the 1st of July 2015. A little more than a year has passed, yet there are still a lot of questions and discrepancies as to whether there is a legitimate need for these licenses, the strict regulations surrounding them and whether people are able to fly their Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS) as hobbyists without the need for licenses. A large portion of the argument has to do with the size, weight and type of an aircraft coupled with the simplicity of its operation, which is clarified in this paper.
