The study focuses on the challenges and opportunities facing educators and students in the rapidly changing educational landscape. The research aims to identify the key issues affecting teaching and learning in South African higher education and propose recommendations for improvement. The study employed a mixed-methods approach to gather data from educators and students, and the findings reveal a range of complex factors influencing the teaching and learning experience in the country. The article concludes with a discussion of the implications of the findings for future developments in higher education in South Africa.
